I ordered an extra small, personalized collar for my mini dachshund puppy even though I didn't have him home yet - just guessing what size would work. I wanted it personalized with his name and our phone number, though, so I sent in the order HOPING that it would work for him. When I received it, I was a bit concerned, thinking it was too big for him, but then I realized I could adjust the size and the phone number would still be viewable and if he got lost, someone who found him could adjust it slightly to see all the numbers. When he finally came home and put it on him, I was thrilled to find that, despite only being 4.5 pounds (so tiny!), the collar could be adjusted to fit him perfectly and there seems to be plenty of room for him to grow into it (but not out of it) as he reaches full size (expected to be about 10 pounds). The ONLY "criticism" (and it is minor) is that I would have liked the font to have been slightly smaller, to allow a little more room above and below it on the band so I could see the lovely pattern on the band better. That reminds me - WOW - thank you for all the options of patterns!! Most other companies just had solid colors or limited numbers of patterns, for similar prices. I did invest a little more on this collar than I had planned, but given that I hope he'll be able to wear it "forever" (and the quality is such that I think this is entirely possible!), it was WELL worth it! Thank you so much.
